So I signed my offer letter yesterday which is cool! It’s for a temporary contract position. I’ll be doing sales for a saddlery during Quarter Horse Congress (the largest single breed show in the WORLD, only an hour away from me). The same company was interested in having me apply for a remote customer service position, and I interview at 10:30 this morning. I think I would enjoy the work, I just don’t know if I’m sold on the remote aspect of it. I enjoy *going* to work and spending time with coworkers in person. I’ll do my best in the interview, but in my gut I don’t know if I *really* want to be working remote. Even though technically I have done remote work with NoQu. I don’t know. We’ll see.

The customer service position would’ve overlapped with Congress, and the sales, boots-on-the-ground experience with that was of more value to me, so while the interview did go well I’m not pursuing the position. The HR lady said if there were any positions available near the end of Congress she would be happy to let me know though. :)

I can’t remember which blog it was but I remember seeing an anon say they had a theory that the oversaturation of step-family porn was a deliberate choice by the porn industry to normalize and brainwash porn viewers into thinking incest wasn’t a big deal in order to create future porn actresses. I think their reasoning was that 80-90% of porn actresses reported being molested and SA’d as children and a majority of SA perpetrators are family members or adults close to the family of the victim. So the theoretical plan was to brainwash a generation of men into thinking incest wasn’t a big deal, which would embolden them to molest and assault young girls, thereby creating a generation of traumatized women to become fodder for porn and sex work.
